Happy Valentine's Day!

I asked Hermana Favero specific questions last week, hoping to get more information our of her haha. She answered them this week. These are her answers:

My biggest challenge this week was definitely trunkiness haha I have been thinking a lot lately about my future. I see the cute couples at church with their little kids and it makes me want that a lot! It really stinks haha sometimes it just hits me and I think about it all week!

My biggest concern has to be Elsi and Edwin. They are a couple who needs to get married. Edwin is a member and Elsi is an investigator. They are such great people and they have all the desire in the world to change and have an eternal family but they are having problems with papers because Elsi is from Ecuador and if she wants to get married here she has to have all these legal paperwork done. It’s stressful! We have made a date for her to be baptized on the 28th of March so we have to get them married before then.

My biggest success…hmm haha  we didn’t really do a whole lot this week with Hna Brogan being kinda sick but something funny is that while we were in the room resting, waiting for her to get better I decided to draw for like an hour and take a break from reading. I drew a few really good pictures!

My favorite person…hmmm haha that’s hard! I should probably say my companion hehe she and I have gotten a lot closer this last week and once she started feeling better her goofy self came out and she is hilarious haha

My most significant tender mercy would probably have to be when Eduardo came to church! We were so worried that he wouldn’t go cuz the last time he had a date to be baptized he flaked the week before.  He is set for the 27th of this month to be baptized and he is going so strong. He is one of the viajitos and he is such a great guy! Im so excited for him to make this step in his life!

This next coming week im excited for my birthday!!!! It'll be crazy! Ill send you pics!!!

This week my goal is to exercise every day and do it with a purpose! Haha

Wow I'm not sure what scripture has made the most impact on me this week! I have been reading in Alma about Alma and Amulek and I just love their stories! It makes me put myself in the story and its so cool to learn from them!

I hope you have an amazing week this week and I love you more than you know!!!!

bug bites!

Happy early birthday!

More Tender Mercies!

Wow this week was absolutely amazing! Chuck full of spiritual testimony builders!

We started out really down on ourselves. None of our investigators are progressing and we felt as though we had knocked every door in our area. On Friday we decided to just stop, go back to our room and pray for direction. I offered the prayer (first one for like nine months out loud in English :P) And I just poured out my heart to Heavenly Father, asking Him to help us have the strength to keep working hard and to help us think of ideas for contacting and for the investigators that we have now. I don't know if I have ever felt so close to my Father in Heaven as I did in that moment. This warmth came over me as if He was kneeling there right next to me holding me tight. I knew he was watching over us and that our problems were big in His eyes. We then decided to just sit and ponder and I felt like I needed to read out of PMG and I came to the Chapter about finding new people and it lead me to Alma 31. I read it and was blown away at how similar our situation was to that of Alma and his companions. We talked about it and made plans and promises with each other and God and the next day when we got out to work the tender mercies started to flow!

We got so many contacts, people just started to let us in the door on the first door knock, and we started to get really good investigators!

Prayer works guys! I know that God knows our hard times and through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, We can see miracles in our lives and in the lives of others.

Jose is still struggling on his decision but his faith and desire to serve God are more strong than ever. We have a baptismal date for the 28th and we are working really hard on him to get him there. Things are just starting to look up!

Oh and by the way, I'm pretty sure that I would still bawl my eyes out if I saw Barney live even now as an adult haha. Everything lately has been reminding me of him and I'm pretty sure I've sang all of his songs throughout the week! Hna Brogan gets quite a kick out of my giddy fangirl ways haha.

Any way I love you all soooo much and I hope all  is well at home!!! Stay strong and know that God loves you and knows you all individually!!
