Hermana Favero's new area is La Victoria!

Hermana Favero's new Pday is Monday.  It was so good to hear from her!

Familia Y Amigos!!!

Oh my goodness! This place is so cool! Ugh I have so much to say but only like an hour or less to say it! I had to write President Risso first.

Anyway... My companion is so amazing! Her name is Hermana Torres and she is from Honduras. She speaks very very little English! Before I got here, I was hoping for a North American comp but now that I'm with her, I wouldn't have it any other way. She has been here for about 6 months and her first area was Cajamarca! I really wanted to go there first but I love my area!

The name of my area is La Victoria. Its total dirt/sand and there is trash everywhere! Its not a pretty place but I love it all the same! The people here are the best! Everyone just loves the Hermanas! I've been whistled at I don't know how many times but I don't let it get to me!

Here in Peru, we have pensionistas (basically someone that takes care of us). Ours is the best!!!! She makes the best food and she does our laundry for us! When we go over there, we eat with her and her family. Her son and daughter in-law live with her and her husband and they have 2 little kids, Samantha and Jorge. They are the best family! I love them to death!!!! Our pensionista's son speaks some English so we talk to each other some.

Oh! speaking of English!  We have a lot of youth here who want to learn English so starting this Saturday I'm going to teach! Crazy!!!! And my Spanish is soooo much better! I'm forced to look up the words I don't know to talk to my companion, our investigators and a member named Brian. Brian is 20 years old and he was just baptized like two months ago. He is a ward missionary so he is with us a lot. He is thinking about serving a mission but has lots of doubts. I know he would be awesome though!

Anyhoo.... so in my district, I'm the only white person!!! But in my zone, there are lots! I'm so blessed because Hermana Waite is in my zone! We see each other a lot and we freak out everytime!

When we walk in the streets, I hear Salena songs soo often! It keeps me sane haha also, we are really close to an Air Force base so I hear jets and planes take off every day! It reminds me of grandpa and Uncle Walt! I love small, tender mercies from the Lord!
Anyway... I've gotta go... no more time!  I love you all and I hope all is well! You all are in my prayers! Until next week!!!

It's been 5 weeks!

This week's email!  She has come so far with her Spanish.  Thank you for all the prayers. We got a chance to visit with her on Skype for Mother's Day and she spoke a little for us and she sounded awesome! She is asking for handwritten letters now.  Her mailing info is in another post on this blog. I am also getting a package together for her so if anyone would like to add something let me know! Keep the prayers coming! She loves you all!

Mi Familia!
Soooo this week has been amazing! I have been doing so much better with my Spanish! Im so proud of myself!
Its getting so close to time to leave the CCM! Crazy!!!! Its weird to think about how I havent even really started my mission yet! In a week from today, I´ll have a new companion, a new home, a ward/branch and mission president to report to, and I´ll be out teaching people everyday!!! I´m so excited to get out there!!! You definitely dont go on a mission to stay in the MTC. Im so ready to get out of here! Dont get me wrong, I love it here and the CCM and I will miss it like crazy but I´ll definitely feel more useful in Chiclayo!
Being able to talk to you all gave me the boost I need to keep moving forward with all the strength in the world!!! I love you all so much and I cant believe ive already been gone for a month!!! Yes i want letters like crazy! I love getting emails but there is just something so much more special about getting a handwritten letter from those you love!
so about these pictures... some of them are from last week and some are from this week but they are all really important to me! I love all of the hermanas here!!! The one that is in this email is of most of us on a bus and most of the time when we get a bus its really crowded and we dont get seats but this was a really lucky day! the next one is of some of us girls in our jerseys and comfy Grajes pants haha Ive got three pairs haha the next one is just of us with our teacher at the temple and the last one is of me with a little bunny at Grajes. Grajes is a hole in the wall store with little outlits in it that have hand made stuff, clothes, pets, and shoes and stuff like that. super fun!
Anyway... I am having a blast here and I love hearing all of your stories! keep them coming! I see more and more blessings in every email!!!
 Lots of love!!! Les Amo!!!

No email this week!

Hermana Favero is still struggling with computer issues.  I managed to chat with her through email though and she said she is doing "fantastic"! She confirmed that she will either call or Skype this Sunday between 3 and 5 her time.  We are all so excited to hear her voice! She didn't send pics either but I will post the ones I took on Google earth of the area she's in.  Keep the prayers and support coming!
